Keynote Speaker: 5 Questions to ask Yourself for 2021

My daughter says to me that today is a powerful Astrological day to set your intentions and I must tell the universe what I want. Now whether you are into this sort of stuff or not, I do find it fascinating. Thing is regardless of whether it is a powerful Astrological day or not; Keynote Speaker everyday is a powerful day and guess who holds the power. You.

As you know I am pretty obsessed with neuroscience and I always say attention goes, energy flows. What about attention and ‘intention’ goes; energy and ‘courage’ goes. When I wrote and published my book First Comes Courage during COVID (I write a lot about brain stuff too in my books Leadership Attitude and Just Rock it!), I didn’t know if I had it in me. Like many of us, 2020 was a year of many ups and downs however I knew I had to set my intentions of being courageous as this is what I stand for and the impact I want to make.

Remember, you are the director of your mind and thoughts and I want everyone to have powerful and courageous thoughts and focus in 2021 (and beyond). If you have disempowering and fearful thoughts, and you focus on these on your stage then you will have a pretty bad play showing to the world. Don’t give this fear (tips here to overcome fear) power – embrace the fear and know that if you fear it, then it matters and this drives courage and action. The mind is a powerful thing and the more you focus on something, the more you will see the data and evidence. It’s like when you decide to buy a car and you see the car everywhere on the road (watch what I mean here as there is neuroscience around this).

Set your focus and intention to courage and being the best version of you.

Who wants a life of courage? I hear you say YES! Well I want this for you.

Keynote Speaker: Here are the Greatest 5 Questions to ask yourself EVERYDAY.

  • What do I really want and why?
  • Who do I want and choose to be and why?
  • What is stopping me being who I am and getting what I want?
  • What are my intention/s and where will be my focus today?
  • Which action/s can I do today to be courageous (no matter how small)?

Please write these down and answer them everyday (or most days if you can).

Underpinning all the above is KINDNESS. Remember to be kind to yourself and others. There might be days or times you don’t get what you want (I had plenty of them this year) or you are not being the best version of yourself (we all have days like this) – however be kind, compassionate and gentle to yourself. Plus only focus on what makes you rock, who you are and what you want. Yes leadership is about others and how we can be kind and help others. However don’t compare yourself and your inner courage and successes with others.

“The first step to getting what you want is to have the courage to get rid of what you don’t.” —Zig Ziglar

In turn, this self-awareness and intention will help you not only get to Courage and Leadership – however also your purpose and impact as a person and leader.

I want to always reflect on your day and celebrate the small wins, successes and achievements. If you had a day of NON-Courage or UN-kindness for yourself then laugh at it and learn from it.

Please let me know how you go and share with me the courage you are seeing within!

You got this….
